Topic 1: Digital Citizenship

What makes a digital citizen? To me, a digital citizen is someone who belongs to a world outside of reality, also known as the internet. We always here that if you post anything on the internet it will stay there forever so it is very important to be responsible if you are a digital citizen. I Googled my name to see if i had a "digital footprint" and to my surprise, not a lot of information about me was on the search engine. My facebook wasn't on it or any pictures of me but I did make a shocking discovery. I found a family tree website called Farhi.org where my whole entire family and all my relatives were listed. That was a little creepy to me because I don't think anyone that I know of put that information online.This discovery showed me that even as careful as you are, unwanted information online will show up and you have to be aware of the possibilities and outcomes of sharing and having a life online.
