Topic 5: Good Manners and Commenting

To make sure that you are never a cyber bully you can ask nice and appropriate questions and compliment other people's work. You have to make sure that when you ask questions, you aren't implying something that could be taken the wrong way. Cyber bullying is a major issue in today's society, and I make sure to take precaution when commenting on work that is not my own. Besides possibly making someone else upset from cyber bullying, being rude on the internet can also hurt your digital footprint. You could get a reputation of being a cyber bully.

Topic 4: Photos and Images and Giving Credit

It is unbelievable to think about how easy, yet so risky it is to steal someone photos. When people post pictures online, there are multiple ways to protect their work such as copyright, public domain, fair use, and Creative Commons. Each of these are different ways to give people the ability to publish works legally.

Topic 2: Blogging

Some things that I enjoy that I would also like to blog about would be fun things I like to do in my free time, or insight I can give on new and random things I learn throughout the week.
I know that a lot of people blog about their personal lives or post pictures of their children like a virtual diary, simply because there is a button at the top of every blog to browse other blogs and I can't say I don't do that when I'm bored and have nothing to do:) but posting that information can also be very dangerous considering that all types of people can browse blogs as easily as I can. Due to that, I plan on not being to personal on this blog but share things that think I can teach other people.

Topic 1: Digital Citizenship

What makes a digital citizen? To me, a digital citizen is someone who belongs to a world outside of reality, also known as the internet. We always here that if you post anything on the internet it will stay there forever so it is very important to be responsible if you are a digital citizen. I Googled my name to see if i had a "digital footprint" and to my surprise, not a lot of information about me was on the search engine. My facebook wasn't on it or any pictures of me but I did make a shocking discovery. I found a family tree website called Farhi.org where my whole entire family and all my relatives were listed. That was a little creepy to me because I don't think anyone that I know of put that information online. This discovery showed me that even as careful as you are, unwanted information online will show up and you have to be aware of the possibilities and outcomes of sharing and having a life online.
